OKAY HOW I DO PLAY THIS GAME TeAcHH MmEA
He's done with this game I think. =D (Also I am stixx44 just using a different account (【IS MASTER】))
Good game, very interesting,I hope cpu can do better while board size is large then 9.
Whoops, late reply to your late reply, RadiantDarkBlaze came up with the nickname for ha55ii, ha66ii because he has something for the number "6".
AlphaGo win, we have no hope
This game could also be played on Wii U. Once I was playing this game, it is like ''baduk'', a game from Korea.
stixx44, it's not ha66ii, it's ha55ii.
Why the (beep) did ha66ii not update this game!? I think he gave up on this game.
I'm so bad at this game! I could probably play better with my eyes closed, just picking randomly.
Imosa, do you play go on any go servers? I'm on KGS like 24/7.
Also sigma nice memory hahahah, I forgot about that upload.
I wonder how popular dgp is compared to older genes.
IM BEAR GRILLS

On powder game
I can't comment
Undo, redo added.
This reminds me of chess :p
And this is a great game, but it'd be good if it automatically granted a win if the other team couldn't place counters anywhere.

ACOASCKOMO SA VAYAMACLA MCGAO'SP`FASO¡
Go is pretty straight forward. I'm surprised rules even need to be written.
Other features that I can think of really just amount to detecting and indicating interesting board states. Which is honestly a fine endeavor in and of itself.
* Indicate liberties
* Indicate ko
* Indicate logically superior and inferior moves for common situations aka tesuji
* Take the above step further and have the game play out common tesuji to save time.
* Indicate shapes as living or dead
* Detect shapes and link to information about them in a database (i.e. Empty Triangle: http://senseis.xmp.net/?EmptyTriangle)
TIL ha55ii is more detailed in his comments in the japanese site.
Yeah, I was thinking the exact same thing.
Then again, you have to remember this is pretty much more of just a hobby for ha55ii, so I guess it really doesn't matter to him if he wants to be lazy :P
And besides, I guess we really don't know his life. He could have gone without a computer for a week and was hardly able to do anything. He's also been able to turn out updates consistently every Friday for as long as I can remember, so I guess this isn't so bad.
Trump kbows how to run country bettwr than obama or hillary
First non-game update in several years. (Not counting User Rankings for other games)
Rules are pretty good if you factor in the language barrier. Not really worth an update all to itself though seeing how literally every other game came with such info already on their page.
Detailed Rules of Dgo.
In terms of intelligence:
Donald Trump < This AI < a dog
I know this game! In China it's called Wei Qi or Go.
Yayy! New game!
If people criticize this game, you are all just going to start calling it "Dog".
I'd like to see you make a better one.
Although I have to agree that Java is better than HTML5, there is literally nothing wrong with it, and amazingdude should stop treating HTML5 like a demon.
Another useless game made by ha55ii
I still think there should be online multiplayer for this.
The DANBALL users in general don't interact in real time very much, and this game could be an opportunity for that. You could have a ranking system so you can make sure to only pick on people several kyu below you and the ability to challenge other online DANBALL members to a game of Dgo. Perhaps this will happen in Dgo 1.1.
Better yet, a new multiplayer game... Kudos Danball! :D
Woo! A new game! :D
Probably because he has no ideas, no motivation to work on any of the old games, but still wants to do something.
I'm disappointed. If I wanted to play a good game of Go, I'd look for websites that already offer such services with many more features.
A computer is nice to play against though because they don't mind losing. (Pro tip, if you don't know how to start, just pick white and mirror the computer for a few turns).
Also the whole Area estimation thing is REALLY cool and helpful.
I would really just like to see this thing produce more data. I wanna know more about what its thinking. Add simple things like a clock, game history, how many pieces have been captured, save our stats.
The most important thing you could add is a way to save and load board states. That way we can at least share and talk about our games in the chat.
Another option is a lot more customization? Why does Komi have to be 6.5? Why does the board need to be one of those 4 numbers?
why do you guys even update your browser if it drops java? i used firefox 28 for months because of the theme. if firefox drops java ill find an addon or just no update.
I'm bad at this game, haha. Kind of straightforward, but I like it.
I'm not sure why ha55ii has been going through a board game phase recently.
Well, this seems like an alright game...
YES!!! YES!!! I FINALLY BEAT YOU!
*says the "F" word five times very excitingly and SUPER LOUD* (not you STS (Starry Sock)) YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
I beat myself!
If anyone is having issues beating the AI here is a few tips:
1. Black always go first and going first have a massive advantage, assuming you know what you are doing though. The AI isn't that bright and if you are a newbie then going first won't help you that much either. The AI might only be winning due to the extra points from going 2nd. Try picking white and because the AI isn't that good anyway you will most likely get all of the good spots AND have the bonus points that the AI would otherwise have.
2. Bigger board doesn't increase your odds of winning. If you are going to lose then you will lose, simple as that. If the match is going painfully slow then do yourself a favor and decrease the board size. 9x9 is the common size for newbies anyway. Learn why you are losing, don't waste time just waiting.
3. The game is less about how many pieces you have on the board and more about which techniques you are using. Knowing the right pattern can easily work your opponent into an unwinnable play that only end with you taking a large territory. http://playgo.to/iwtg/en/ Lesson 10 on this site is a perfect example of such a case and the site as a whole can step up your Go game in general.
@StarTrekSpock (Starry Sock)
WUT, FireFox is now dropping Java!? Thankfully I stuck with IE 11. This would have killed ha66ii earlier (and the Satanic References they had, but RDB said they spiraled downwards (and I wonder what progress Radiant is doing on SRC
*heads to the Dan-Ball Wiki and the Fan-Ball Wiki*)) if FireFox and Chrome dropped Java before the HTML5 updates.
I still use the JavaApplet for better Speed.
Haha yeah, that would be great XD
Knowing Dan-Ball though, you'd probably be waiting a day just for another player to come online...
Nah, IE still supports Java.
I think Firefox is dropping it as well, though. Could be wrong, but yeah.
Java was always rather cr.appy anyways. Didn't work a lot, and even if it did one Java update could ruin that.
I'm kind of glad ha55ii isn't wasting time with the Java versions anymore. Su.cks for some people, but they just need to move on.
This game's great, but I wish you could compete against other players online, and spectate Go matches. Not that I could win or anything..
@amazingdude because Java isn't supported by Chrome. Also IE (I think). So HTML5 is better for compatibility.
WOW! I used to play Go before, and now, I can play it again on Dan Ball! :D
i doubt you will even notice this, but why dont you code java anymore? D:
