I personally agree with tangerian. This isn't so much a game as a real time ray-tracing test. I've personally tried to do some ray-tracing of my own, but even making a still picture is difficult.

This guys have such unbelievable skills, but I think they should combine them with better graphics. even if I think that they know what they do...

Just jump in the air and kill the spawning enemies.
They appear at random, so keep off the ground.
Don't go too high, though.

I don't like this game!! It's stupid and ugly >:o(

This game is more of a show-off technique more than a legitimate game. And while I can't complain, there needs to be more polish to this game. Perhaps make it a side-scroller like Mario, where you punch stickmen and attain a maximum amount of kills? At least fashion the game in some way, shape, or form such that it is actually enjoyable (and not like Stick Ranger), so that members of Dan-Ball can enjoy it, and ha55ii can continue to show off his coding prowess. The game isn't necessarily addicting, but I find myself playing it sometimes.

I think that if they are to get this to be popular, there should be weapons, level ups (health ups and damadge, defence) and health items. Then this would technically be good enough to serve as a game rather than a simulation or side project.

But that's incorrect. Ray Trace Fighter isn't a game. It seems pretty obvious to me that it's just a project that he's using to test light effects on objects. Maybe he'll put it into effect on another game. But until then, this really serves no purpose.

I love this game thus far. It's definitely going to a good direction.

It's obvious that the game isn't completed yet....
This is how to mess with the graphics
You can make some pretty nice decorations, here's how:
Click on 'Hand' and select an object
On the right, where it says -object-, you can click on the numbers to change them (left click is +, right click is -)
X +/- is to move the object right/left
Y +/- is to move the object up/down
Z =/- is to move the object forwards/back

R = red
G = green
B = blue

To use the colours, make all the numbers 0 first is a good idea (all 0 is black)
click on blue, for example, to make it blue.
You can use a mixture, for example orange wich is red and green, but with more red.

But the past 2 updates had to do with Ray Traceing, they need to add onto the fighting part of the game.

It's quite hilarious if you drag the fighter around while holding down or S. You get a flying wrecking ball of destruction.. Lol for the enemies at least.

The point of this game isn't so much the fighting as it is playing with 3D. Change the X-value, and the light moves left and right; the Y-value, up and down; the Z-value back and forward. Then changing the intensity of the light, the speed it moves, how "wide" the circular path of the light is.

Just like most other Dan-Ball "games", there's no actual point except to demonstrate different things like magnets, gravity, and (in this case) light.

It would be hilarious if they inserted the fighter into PG and the 3Dness. I think this is the first step towards that!! If only I knew enough about Java, I would put Nitro in and rule the Ray Trace Fighter world. Lol

There isnt really an objective, the purpose of the game is to show that the makers have started experimenting with 3D graphics and Ray Tracing (Global Shadows)

Some suggestions enlarging the screen, adding different types of guys and enemies, a point in this game ( I'll admit there is no purpose in this game), Power ups I guess ( not the a fan of those), and levels. It will make a good game when time has past.

RTF = as you see it now.

I think the game has a lot of potential and will go in the direction that I hoped stick ranger would have gone, a good 2D(movement) adventure game based on skill not strategy...but like most games it is boring for the first version.

For the people asking what the object's point is, I think it's just for the effect of the game. Since the maker (Is it by Ha55ii? o.O) of the game said this game "can also be used with computer graphics" the objects might just be for the shadow effect. If you notice that on the other side of the shadows, there is a whitish dot. It's floating around the screen, and it might be the source of light. That's just what I think xD

hey! notice the wierd little dot floting acros the field? aparently thats the light sorce of the game, try positioning a ball in the sky by changing the axises and youl see that the shodow on the ball chages depending on were the dot is.

Why does everyone have a problem with this? It's only on just starting so just calm down. And if you're confused on how to play, there's this totally new thing that teaches you how to play, it's called instructions. Maybe you should check it out before whining about not knowing how to play.

look everyone, we're all used to great games that have a million updates, thats why they are far better than this game. I agree, it's horrible now, compared to other games like PG and SR, at the begining they were just as bad, give it time and hopefully it will be better with more updates.

This Game doesn't look good at the moment, but with a lot of work this might become really good!
There should be a menu in which you can choose your character (preferably any of the SR-classes), the enemies should drop Onigiris and more enemies should be added.
It's like stick ranger, just solo, and you have the complete control over your character.

Honestly, this is just horrible. I understand that it's a new update, and we should all be happy-happy-joy, but this is just terribad. The controls are horrible, I have no idea what a "SPHERE" does, I'm not sure what the objective of the game is, I don't understand how to do anything... the game itself is flawed, and imo it's horrible. I would much rather have a PG or SR update, really. I don't see any future for this game.
