Just reiterating (you kids can look that up), you kids only hate this game because you can't use your brain to work out how to play it. Minesweeper is a simple game if you had even half a brain, this game makes it more fun by turning it into a scrolling game.

What he said. Seriously guys. I doubt you even know what programming involves, let alone how hard it actually is. Remember that Ha55ii and whoever else does this stuff are High-School aged, they get no revenue, no donations, and the only money they get is from ad revenue. I doubt you guys would have even gotten past a few months since it doesn't benefit you in any way, but these guys have been going for well over 3 years making games.

I don't see what you don't get about what I'm saying (probably because you're a kid). Think about something that you do for a hobby - sports, music, games... You know how to do everything, you've done it for a few years now, you know how hard it is to do it. Then a dozen people who know nothing about it come in and say "no, you're doing it wrong. You should do it this way" and they show you something so unbelievably stupid that you want to just laugh at them. Jeez... did you even READ my last comment? I'm not talking to you people about the fact that you hate the game. I'm talking about the fact that you people expect so much and give little in return. I'm talking about the fact that you people think that programming is like a walk in the park, and you keep complaining to try and get the programmers to update your precious little game, and you don't take into account that maybe there's a REASON they aren't updating it as much, like the fact that it takes time and effort to do so, and it's time and effort that they don't even get paid for. Ad revenue is miniscular, that's no excuse. These people are updating games that's had about 50 updates made to them already, and you people keep complaining "add this, add that, update this more" blah blah blah.
Most games wouldn't have even got past version 1.1 unless they actually got paid for it, and do it as a job, not a hobby. Even then, they wouldn't be able to put out weekly updates, and continue doing so for over 2 years.

Doesn't matter. My point still stands. The thing most programmers hate the most is when people come along and try to say "oh, it should only be a few lines of coding", or at least act that way. Even if it *is* just a line of coding, you'd have to test it under all possible variables to make sure there are no unwanted glitches - every pixel on the game, every combination of elements from any direction, etc. etc.

I still think its a bad and boring game
It's called humouring. No, I've long accepted that people don't like it. I don't care if you can't use your brain. What I don't like is how everyone keeps complaining and thinks they can tell the people who actually know how to program... how to program. There's a reason Ha55ii added Mine Tower and that's so he can slow down the pressure of updating SR and PG. Like I've constantly said before, the more you add to a game, the more restricted it becomes. I mean, just PG, to add a new element, he has to think of something that hasn't been made and isn't just a copy of something else (like pretty much every single idea people make) or completely unplausible/stupid, then he has to come up with, make a code for, and test every single possible reaction to make sure nothing's buggy. It's several hours of work that he, a Japanese Hige-school-age kid, has to give up every week. Adding MT relieves the pressure because it's easier to update since it's new. Remember that he's doing this for free, the only money he gets is from ad-revenue, which is fairly miniscule.
PG and SR are already way past ver5.0. Most games wouldn't pass ver1.1. You guys should be happy *any* of the games have come this far.

I've been playing DanBall games WAY before PG, and it was so much better before back when you didn't have comments and PG uploads because people just come in and play. They don't go around complaining about what the game is and isn't. And what does it matter how *long* you've been here? I'm pretty sure age maturity and sense matter a lot more. I know how hard JAVA is to program. I've actually MADE things with Java. It's not exactly a walk in the park. Making the game, testing it, then improving, testing, re-coding. PG has had 55 updates, and for every update, he has to not only make the element, but he has to also code all the different interactions (eg. with bird, it runs along the lines of "If wood, attract bird; if bird, attract bird; if ant, disappear" [of course that is a very dumbened down version of what it is, but you can see the point])

Personally, I want PG to update as much as some other people on this site. That being said, I think that this game, as some have said, is a wonderful rendition of a classic, adding pressure to an already fun logic game.
Now, I' alright with people saying that they don't like this game. If you do this, however, don't be an ass about it and say stuff like "anyone who disagrees with me is stupid", et cetera. Doing this does not gain you respect, it gains you contempt. I don't like stick ranger that much, but if someone likes that game, I'm not going to call them a moron for it.
This is a good game, but too often it gives you impossible-to-solve parts where you are destined to fail. You might want to improve the system that you use to generate the layout. Good luck.

I'm guessing the updates are done when the creative urge strikes for any given game, not in a particular order., SR just had a million things that could be added in, so they continue to be added. PG has a smaller number of interesting and unique particles possible, so there are fewer updates. That said, I love PG, am not into SR, and don't get all angry when Sr gets an update. The world doesn't revolve around me, and I understand that.

There are a few ways this game can be updated.
1) Difficulty (speed, width, mine density)
2) Other modes (triangles, hexes)
3) High scores
I like this game but it's way too slow until floor 50 for me. I'd like a +.02 speed increase every floor instead of +1 every 50.

I have just noticed today, of all the times I have played mine tower, that there are no mines on 1f. Hope this helps.

Unrelated: This is a cool game, I hope it takes the updates away from stick ranger (that game's been updated enough IMO)
So, the numbers are correct, but there are SEVERAL things that point at it... It's hard to explain what I'm talking about.
Unlike the original minesweeper, this game lies about the numbering. Sometimes it seems like the mines are at one spot, and by what the numbers say, it's true. However, it will turn out that the mines are in ANOTHER spot...
And if you mess up once, you actually lose for good...

I don't know, this game seemed a bit too easy for my tastes. I made it all the way to 200F with only a few stupid errors, and often found myself rushing the game because it scrolled too slowly for me most of the time.
Getting to the top seemed really long and tedious too, and I really don't feel like doing it again "just to improve my time".
I also don't quite understand HOW this game can be updated (short from multiple difficulties/sizes, an endless mode, and maybe a high score table) without pretty much changing the game completely. Maybe it's going to go the way of Earth Editor or Font Game and just get a few updates before it's dropped completely...
This game is yummy, if not incrediby hard. =/

Stickranger is getting old, they should put the updates at MT, SR, PG, MT, SR, PG. that way it would all be evened out, the pg fanboys won't complain, the mt fanboys won't be dissapointed, and sr will be about normal now.

Ha55ii made a somewhat bad choice. Most "people" here are dumb 5-year-olds with no idea about minesweeper. Not every game is meant to be FUN. It's a puzzle game, you must utilize some simple rules and not just click on random squares.
Also, there's not always a logical solution, sometimes you have to guess. MT lets you miss some squares for a time penalty, adding a second bonus to the classical Minesweeper.

This update is to be honest just stupid. Id rather have a powder game or even stick ranger update than a slightly altered version of a game that is already on everyones computer. The only game on this site with much attention at all besides PG and SR is irritation stick man. I'ts not that I really dislike this game, it's that we were really looking forward to an SR update )=
You know Lordman Powder Game was built 2007 and Stick Ranger 2009 and yet Stick ranger goes from 1.0 up, up, up, up, up, up, up, and, up! Powder Game before did that until SR made the pattern Pg sr sr sr Pg sr sr! I think it should be more like right now pg 10.0 and sr 2.7.
Coolest thing ever! At least I can beat minesweeper, so it's easy.

discovered a bug..
when you click on a bomb wich you already clicked on (a mistake) the screen goes down again.. sometimes i do this by accient, and if i dont have much time left, i could go game over...
this is way too hard for me XD
maybe add things like difficulity's?

to be honest, i really dont like this game, but i'd like to see hte updates.
I don't think minesweeper is on every computer, macintosh and linux don't have it by default, as far as I know.
this is more of a thinking game
I'm not calling anyone stupid, but most of dan-balls players are not going to enjoy this because its not graphically inclined, you have to think about what numbers and location, rather then throw stick men into enemies, or make explosions.
I don't care for minesweeper, but this is a great concept, it reminds me of tetris in a way.
I like this version but everywhere I look there is minesweeper. To the left and right and up and down there is some kind of variation of minesweeper. But there is a pro to this game. It will attract more people to the site convincing them to play PG or SR. Kudos to Ha55ii for this advertisement.
It's like any number-based puzzle game, the mines are set in such a way that there's only one way the numbers they surround can work. If you're not mathematically inclined (which might just be everyone here, tbqh) then you won't find much fun in this.
I don' understand the new game well anyways. And I've never liked minesweeper, the numbers never seem to be accurate and it's too easy to mess up...
iLol at these SR fans. This is quite an interesting take on minesweeper, and could turn into quite an interesting mini-game.

ha55ii I know you probally wont view this but, why did you add this game? In my personal opinion, this is not one of your best games. I would have preferred Stick Ranger or Powder Game to be updated.
