The red tips are attracted by the cursor, but the grey tips are not pushed away from it. You can test in high friction, that a compass with a grey arrow, that points to the cursor, is more stable than a compass in the same distance, which needles point 90°from the direction to the cursor.
Should be fixed, but not necessesarily in the line and point draw type, although the user might be confused by different behaviours of different draw types.

I think this game is great. As stated before, its not meant to be some great entertainer that keeps you playing for weeks and weeks, but you rather learn from it. Working with the Compasses and messing around with it is lots of fun! I think it is very underappreciated.

"Compasses" is a fun (yet pointless) game. It doesn't seem that fun at first, but once you figure out all the things you can do, like changing the amount of compassess. Anyway, try it out and experiment!

The only reason you people think this game is boring is because it involves science (magnets). It's not supposed to be something addictive that you'd play all day, it's supposed to be something you learn from. Ha55ii does a great job at emulating the magnetic fields.

What I was thinking is that I make a tube/tunnel filled with water. As you said, there will be islands from time to time. But, in the water, there will be a box of C-4. Inside that box, there will be a torch fish. So, if you get inside the box, the fish can kill you.

If you set all the parameters to these settings then you get a wierd membrane effect:

Compass: Full (720)
Magnetic: Full
Friction: Full
DrawType: Point
Distance: 1*len
Magnetic: Full
Friction: Full

BTW just changing 1 parameter will mess it up completely.

It is a webtoy. The point is that you play with it.

This is really neat. You are able to create alot of different effects and images from changing the settings. ie. Water ripples, virus looking effects and spiral patterns.

How very exciting, I spent 4 and a quearter hours on this game on the trot! Of course I did...

also make it spin faster by putting it closer to the center of the cumpass

You can make the single compass rotate all the time by making it face < that way then putting the magnet on the other side

yes and to make the 3d ball smaller you can put the friction and magnetic down one.

Set the fiction up all the way, the magnetic up all the way and compasses up all the way, then put your mouse over them and u can sorta see a 3d ball of crazy compasses! its entertaining for a few seconds
